The Triquetra has been used to symbolize to the Wiccans the triple goddess, or 3 stages of a woman’s life; Maiden, Mother & Crone. The constant cycle of Life, Death and Rebirth; the triplicities of Mind, Body, and Soul; the three domains of Earth, Sea, and Sky; the Taoist concepts Yin, Tao and Yang; the Tantric energy channels Ida, Sushumna and Pingala; the Hindu trinity Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu; the Alchemical concepts Sulfur, Mercury and Salt; the phases of the moon Waning, Full and Waxing; and the Hebrew letters Mem, Aleph and Shin.

Today the Triquetra symbol represents several organizations. Including the Levitical Network, it also serves as a symbol for the Holy Trinity in The New King James Bible Version by Thomas Nelson Publishing; the Christian Rock Band Payable On Death (P.O.D.)’s CD’s.
